Special offer for obtaining Cyprus citizenship through investment in the electricity industry

Special offer for obtaining Cyprus citizenship through investment in the electricity industry

24 October 2020

On October 13, 2020, the Cypriot government decided to suspend the citizenship program from November 1, 2020.

If you are interested in entering the Cypriot Citizenship Program before November 1st according to the old rules, we suggest you consider a unique opportunity.

Obtaining a passport by investing in the construction of the first private power plant in Cyprus.

Key benefits for the investor:

Yield from 4 to 9% in euros per year;

Return on investment;

Complete independence from the Cyprus property market;

Fast filing of documents for citizenship.

Our partner Second House has prepared answers to frequently asked questions:

Is it worth entering the program now, or is it better to wait until the program is restarted?

In our opinion, it is worth entering. The Citizenship Program has generated a huge influx of investment and its complete closure will be a big blow to the Cyprus economy. We expect and very much hope that after certain changes the program will work again and investors will have the opportunity in the future to obtain a Cyprus passport through investment.

But at the same time, the EU authorities have repeatedly expressed their dissatisfaction with the programs of Cyprus and Malta and insisted on their closure. Recall that the Maltese program ended in August this year, and the new program has not yet been approved by the European Commission.

Why do you recommend entering the program now through alternative investments and not real estate?

In the event of a complete cancellation of the program, the Cyprus property market may adjust and prices will go down. Therefore, in order to ensure the complete safety and investment attractiveness of the investor’s funds, we propose to enter into infrastructure projects in Cyprus. Namely, in the construction of the first private power plant, which will develop without the investment program of Cyprus.

What happens if I do not have time to submit documents by November 1?

We expect the Cypriot government to extend the filing deadline for those applicants who have already made an investment by November 1st. In order to provide a full guarantee for the investor, the contract will guarantee a 100% refund if the file is not submitted within the time limit established by law.

What is the next step?

Agree on an individual consultation with our experts, or come to the webinar, which will take place on October 16 at 12:00 Moscow time.
