Christie’s will organize two major auctions in September to sell property from the estate of TV presenter, philanthropist and billionaire Jerry Perencio, who passed away in 2017. The auction catalog includes unique pieces of furniture from the era of Louis XV and Louis XVI, ceramics (including Chinese), silver, as well as European prints, drawings, sculptures and paintings. Estimated values ​​of lots vary from $ 500 to $ 100,000. In 2018, Christie’s has already sold at auction 44 works of the Impressionists and Modernists from the Perencio collection. Sotheby’s, in turn, auctioned off his large-scale wine collection through two specialized auctions. Among the top lots of the upcoming auction are lithographs by Henri Toulouse-Lautrec and a book by Jeff Koons, as well as a number of Winston Churchill memorabilia. Two auctions will be held online from 1 to 16 and from 1 to 17 September.

Christie’s announced this week that they intend to replicate the success of the ONE hybrid auction held in July with a grand broadcast in four cities, and hold an auction dedicated to the art of the XX – XXI centuries on October 6 in New York, also with a massive live broadcast. Cezanne’s watercolor still life, estimated at $ 25 million, has already been named the top lot of the upcoming auction. In addition to New York, the pre-auction exhibition will be held in London and Hong Kong. Christie’s heads of departments also announced a change in the schedule of the October auctions in Paris and London – in both cities the auction will take place on October 22 during the FIAC and Frieze fairs.
