Dubai authorities intend to increase the number of city beaches by five times, ATOR reports.

Such ambitious goals are scheduled to be implemented by 2040. It is also planned to expand Dubai’s coastline by 400 percent by this date: thus, its length will reach 105 kilometers (instead of the current 21 kilometers). There will be numerous shops, restaurants, and family  spaces. 

By 2025, the number of services on the beaches of Dubai is planned to be expanded by 300 percent.

Key objectives of the Master Plan:

• increase the total length of public beaches by 400%
• launch a direct bus route that will connect Jebel Ali Metro Station with Jebel Ali Public Beach
• build a 4000 m bike path next to Al Mamzar Public Beach (Creek and Corniche)
• build new water sports facilities on Jumeirah Beach 2 and Umm Suqeim 1 beaches

Nakheel developer has also opened a new Nakheel Marinas Dubai Islands for luxury yachts 

The marina can accommodate 13 superyachts, and closed access and video surveillance ensure complete security.

According to the report of the Boat International Order Book, 1024 superyachts were built in 2022, which is 24.7% more than in 2021.

The ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, notes that the beach development program is aimed at ensuring a high standard of living in the emirate and attracting tourists from all over the world.
